Die interne HGST Ultrastar 7K3000 Festplatte verfügt über ein Speichervolumen von 2 TB, das Platz für zahlreiche Dateien und Anwendungen bietet. 3 bloody fast TB on the cheap
I bought this HDD after searching on the web for the most reliable HDD (from BlackBlaze's site) as well as the biggest affordable. And I am vewy, vewy pleased. The purpose of this HDD is to store my increasing list of movies, the most likely purpose of a 3 TB HDD. Thus I wasn't expecting such a fast drive. For reliability and trust I have other HDDs such as a WD's Green and three of Samsung's old but trustworty 1 TB 5400 RPMs SpinPoints, which are naturally slow. But speed wasn't their and this Hitachi's true purpose. For unloading stress and performance from my Samsungs 850 Pro I have a WD1002FAEX (a Blacky) and surprisingly... this Hitachi's is as fast as that one! (ok, almost... within a tolerance) So, it is a multipurpose drive, ie, mass storage and performance wise. Unless I was lucky and received an outlier. In terms of noise it is one or two dB less than the roaring Black tiger. But you can listen to it rotating from a couple of meters away. By the way, the drive I got was not new but very likely removed from a cloud service. It already got a couple of thousand hours. But for the price (80€ + 5€ shipment) you don't have much to say. And I trust BlackBlaze's HDD studies. Be warned though (this is the cons). It is bloody hot! Even hotter than the WD's Black. This is because the Hitachi has 5! 7200 RPM platters. That's his excuse. As I am writing this, Hitachi is @44º, the Black @41º, 850 Pro @ 37º and a Samsung SpinPoint @29º (Summer here). But with the least stressing possible on this drive, ie, disk suspend off for minimising temperature variance and low start-stop cycles, I believe the small rotating machine will live on... Conclusion: buy one, it is a marvellous piece of engineering.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

HDD's für den Dauereinsatz
Nach schlechten Erfahrungen mit WD-Red, sind HGST-Ultrastar-Profiplatten im Einsatz und dies ohne größere Probleme im Selbstbau-NAS... Dabei vertraue ich mal auf "recertified" und weiss, dass die Platten nicht ewig halten.
