What happened I bought a seond right after I just bought another model but same brand. Now I have 2.
What one wasn't enough? Here I go and get a second only a few days after the first arrived. Slightly different models but they are suppose to use the same cartridges. Both run 3 or 5 inch product through them. And both tear off the product from the back side. This one lost one of it's foots upon arrival. Not sure if I should glue it back on or not because there are screws down below the foot. HMMM I think I can manage with a little wedge of double sided tape though for now. Anyway this machine came with a loaded partially used cartridge of adhesive. And three other boxes of all 5 inch products including a partially used one of regular adhesive one with repositioning adhesive which is what I was searching for when I ran across this and had no luck finding just the adhesive alone. And it also has a partially used magnetic cartridge. Hey I have stuff to play with now and two machines that use them so I can play with two different ones at the same time or two sizes one a 3" loaded and one with 5". I don't have a 3"cartridge yet however. A hint right now for what ever reason you may do better price wise going to the actual companies webpage to order cartridge refills. I'm still learning mode. Watching Youtube videos which are very helpful. I have dies and very intricate dies with lots of empty cut out spaces and the videos show you how to get out the webbing of glue that happens if you run these dies through this machine. You use acrylic or plastic sheeting through your embossing or die cut machine on top of the die and glued side and voila peel that plastic off and it takes the extra webbing of adhesive off with it leaving a pretty clean intricate die cut with glue on one side. Anyway watch Youtubes for more hacks and hints. I hate the term hack. Hints and helpful info is far more valuable. Get one if you think you can use it. Or not that's all up to you and your personality. Not sure I'll keep both of my machines but for now I'm playing with both at the same time...they came preloaded so it makes sense to learn maybe with two I'll get through the learning curve twice as fast. A Worthwhile Investment!
I have been using this item for years and compared to other laminating products I have used, it is heavier and the "stickiness" stands up so much better than any thing else. I teach art and am always laminating students projects. I use it at church for name tags, handouts, and magnets. At home I use it for protecting recipes, important documents, and mementos. Very easy to work with
