Expensive, but well-designed and easy to use
Works as you'd expect a Bluetooth remote to work. The pairing with the Sony NW-WM1A is simple, however every time you restart the Walkman you need to pair again by pressing one of the remote's buttons, but this isn't the fault of the remote. In operation the remote works well: very little lag if any, and it's designed with small raised ridges on the remote so that you can operate it without having to take it out of your pocket (i.e., you can just feel the right control). The remote is tiny (7cm x 2cm x .5cm) and light, which is good, but I can see how easy it would be to lose accidentally. Sony's own documentation warns against this and they include two types of clips that attach to the remote to prevent this. Battery life is decent with the included CR1620 lithium coin cell battery; they claim 8 month life based on 2 hours use per day. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase, with the only complaint being the price, which is on the high side. It would have earned 4 stars if it was less expensive.

Awesome remote for Sony Walkmans
Awesome small little remote. Must have for Sony Walkman users. Especially if you have your WM1A connected to an amp and it makes controlling the songs so much easier. Connection is rock solid.

Good but over priced
This remote control is very good and pairs easily with the Walkman - especially useful if you don't want to take the Walkman out of your pocket in the street on the train etc. The only negative is the price.

Walkman A45 - with software change
I found a website that that allowed the change to the software and was able to get the A35 settings to add the remote and turn the volume limiter off. Loving life right now.

Nowhere do instructions (not in English) tell you that you need to hold Volume Down and Pause at once to put it into Bluetooth pairing mode.

Works well with my product

Nice and small. Does what it should do.
Very small and convenient remote controller. Attachable to headphone cables with different diameters or attachable as a clip-on.
