Fun with Limitations
The "Jumping" part broke on third attempt. I bought one several years ago, had fun, but then it stopped jumping, and i put it on a shelf. Got this one to chase the cats hoping for better luck, but alas. Took the older one apart and i found that jumping mechinism is a cammed plastic wheel the turns and preloads the pair of strong springs that when released slam against the thin plastic and break it. Oh well, it still rolls. Range is also quite limiting, direct WiFi, maybe 30' on back side of lathe/plaster walls and I can no longer control it. Fun little drone.
