A fantastic read!
As far as secular reading and compelling content this is my favorite book. Even if I were not a history buff, this is such a literary great! The letters are masterpieces in culture and language. Every student should read it.

Had very little to do with the man or his life history including the war. Interesting only to the level that his inner thinking regarding family and friends
