An excellent account of life in the Comanche tribe prior to the Civil War. Great descriptions of the areas where the story takes place during all seasons of the year. Compelling story of the decline of the Comanche Nation and how the Westward expansion of the white settlers impacted that transition.

  • That's what attracted me the first time I bought this book.

Love this book. I had bought this book a few years ago and loved it. I always wanted to know more about Cynthia Ann Parker and was over joyed when I found this book. I had a neighbor who said she was indian and she wanted to read it. She got to read it. My copy of the book turned up missing. I took a chance and searched ebay and found it. I'm looking forward to reading it again.

  • One of the best, a true story

I have read “Ride the Wind” 3-4 times and given it as a gift many times. This book is one of the best about the incoming white settlers and the end of the Comanche nation.
