Very effective for shooting in automatic mode. It should have less megapixels and better image quality.
I'm a professional who bought this camera as something cheap, small and light, to easily take anywhere without worries.
I also bought it to encourage my wife to take pictures and learn about it.
The main negative aspect is that it doesn't export in RAW and therefore, what it does, it's very hard to edit.
The second negative aspect is the low battery life. It's a little pathetic to have to travel with at least four batteries.
What's fantastic about it is that it's extremely optimized to work with automatic mode.
This means that the target customer are people who don't know anything about photography.
Those people only understand megapixels and zoom, believing that more is better.
It's the opposite and the least important.
That's why this camera, for the price, is rich in megapixels and zoom. Pure marketing strategy.
And that's a problem. Many megapixels on a small sensor are useless (6 would probably be ideal) and reduce the quality of each pixel. A lens with a large zoom range is worse at all.
The result is poor quality photos, especially at high ISO.
With less megapixels and zoom, this camera would be much better, but probably wouldn't sell that much...
