Great western wrong format
I purchased this bluray because it was advertised as a W/S it is not it is a chopped W/S and I was looking for a 16x9 format of this movie and was disappointed in it due to advertising it as a W/S. I purchased this bluray when it first came out several years ago and I figured it would be a w/s by now. Dark
You can google other reviews but this edition is incredibly poor. It's very dark - almost unviewable for the indoor and night scenes. I have a VHS copy that's 10,000% better. I paid multi times extra for the Blu-ray edition over the DVD for the better experience. Bad decision. I love this movie, but this Bluray is a total bomb!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Shane
This is the most authentic movie about Western America ever made. Realistic characters and believable plot. George Stevenson's directing is beautiful. Engaging.

good resolution
people complained about dark scenes but maybe stevens wanted that for dramatic effect. glad it's in the original acadamy ratio and not converted to 6X9 which would crop off the top and bottom. i originally complained about the resolution but it must have been my projector not liking the format for some odd reason. watching on a 1920X1080 monitor looks beautiful.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

A great western
I always heard about a great movie Shane was. I got curious and finally ordered it. I loved everything about the movie, the way they lived. I loved the fight between Alan Ladd and Ben Johnson.
