Replacement for NUC5i5RYH board? Almost but some adjustment needed.
I purchased the NUC5i5MYBE to replace the board in a NUC5i5RYH that succumbed to a nearby lightening strike. The MYBE board is more or less equivalent to the RYH board, it fits in the RYH box, and the mounting screw positions match. But there are some issues that prevent it from being a perfect drop-in replacement.
1. The rear panel mini DP, mini HDMI, Ethernet, and power connectors are slightly displaced and do not precisely match to the case openings. The two USB openings are a match. A little time with a milling machine (or a lot of time with a file) will fix this.
2. The power switch is properly aligned with the button in the case lid, but there is no in-line LED power indicator and the disc activity LED is not aligned beneath the transparent spot in the lid. Both LEDs are nearby but not close enough to be seen through the lid.
3. The MYBE board does not include a WiFi module. However there is an E-keyed 30 millimeter M.2 slot beneath the M.2 80 millimeter B-keyed slot that will accommodate a WiFi module such as the Intel's 9620NGW, 7265NGW, 9560NGW and others that could be considered. I did not test any M.2 wireless modules for this slot.
4. The 80 millimeter M.2 slot is B-keyed only, no M key. This will support an M.2 SATA SSD or an M.2 PCIe x2 SSD but not a PCIe x4 SSD.
Other than the above, the MYBE board is quite similar to the RYH board. It has a slightly faster processor and a slightly slower graphic processor. I successfully exercised it with an installation of Ubuntu 18.04.3.
