No wifi Blackberry.
As 'New, Old Stock mobile phones go, the Blackberry 8520 arrived via the Royal mail as expected. On opening the packaging, the phone was exactly as described on the ebay advertisement. I charged the phone up, inserted the sim card and an 8 Gb micro SD card, all good. The phone rings up and texts fine. My main issue with the phone it that no matter how hard I, my son and a friend who used to work in a mobile phone shop, the phone will not connect to any WIFI source. I downloaded the full instruction manual off the internet, but we still cant get it to connect. The phone itself is a nice little unit, it's got all the office package on it (which works but I have not used yet). Another minor issue that I noticed is that the 8 Gb SD card caused the phone to freeze, lock up. I changed the card to a smaller 1 Gb SD card and it worked fine, which leads me to think that due to its age, the phone could not handle the larger card. The internet connection problem WIFI issue is a disappointment, but I shall continue asking around people 'in the know' because I feel that I/We have overlooked something simple so as to enable the phone to connect. easy to use
hi there if you need a simple straight forward no nonsense phone that is reliable this is it I use this as a spare but forget about the internet or lots of apps phone calls texts ok but internet it is all blackberry and it is a small app store with very little to choose from I bought this as it was cheap just to put in the car just incase off emergencies battery life is good the handling is fairly so as a spare cheap phone you cannot go wrong goodBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Works fine
Looks like a new one and works fine. Thanks. Still has Vodafone image come up on start up which I would like to get rid of but seem unable to because I’m not with Vodafone. Had a bad experience with them on another phone and another contract so would never choose them again. I don’t like the reminder every time I start up this phone. Any tips? Locked phone
I'm giving this phone a low rating purely because it claims it is unlocked when it isn't - meaning I am completely unable to use it unless I pay a fee larger than the phone itself.
