STEADYSHOT picture stabilization system uses motion sensors to compensate for camera "shake" without compromising picture quality. And super NightShot allows capturing video even when shooting in total darkness (0 Lux) using the built-in infrared system up to ten feet away. Didn't meet VERY specific expectation.
This is a good camera, and I may have been expecting it to do more than it was capable of. I edited tapes, employing PCM audio, on a professional linear editor, the Sony EVO-9700. I was hoping the TRV-230, being digital, could play back the PCM audio I had edited; it did not.
