    Works great!

    I wanted to give my chickens a little scratch grain in the late afternoon during cold weather but don't get home until after dark. I bought this feeder and substituted a funnel for the tray on the bottom. Hung it in the chicken run and now my chickens get a measured amount of scratch when I want them to have it. I'm thinking about buying 1 for my father in law. He likes to watch the birds but they will empty a normal feeder in a day by knocking it on the ground. This feeder would take care of that problem. I had no problem putting it together. The plastic seems sturdy enough for the job. Time will tell how the color holds up.

    Avoid the daily refill

    The feeder automatically releases seeds 4 times a day and is simple to set up. It takes 600gms of sunflower seeds and this lasts 5 days at my setting of 30gms for 4 times each day. I can also reduce each feed during the summer months. Everything has remained dry. Best of all, all the many tits, nuthatches, robins and even sparrows prefer it to the conventional feeders.

    Great quality

    This is a very well made feeder. I am using it to feed my rooster when I have to leave work before dawn. The timer function works great. Made from quality, durable materials. Rodent proof. 100% satisfied, just what I was looking for! Also, super fast international shipping.

    Auto Bird Feeder

    This is a great purchase. The feeder has been working even in the extreme cold, and am very pleased with it. With travel, we have auto feeders for fish, cats, and wanted to find something to keep the birds around. I like that it has multiple settings for time of day and portions. Was worried that the protector wouldn't allow the bigger birds to feed from it, but it is working out.

    Flawed Design Feeder

    There are several design problems with this bird feeder. 1. The tray that the seed goes in to is too small and there is not enough clearance for bigger birds like Blue Jay to land on the platform. Seed spills over the sides of the platform, and the birds end up searching for seed on the ground...where eventually a cat will get them. 2. The top of the feeder does not come off easily for refilling. 3. Seed runs out through the bottom even after the motor has stopped turning. 4. On plus side, the programming is easy and does hold a lot of seed.
