A "cool," charming,and downright enjoyable swan song season for Wally and the Beaver!
Unlike many sitcoms, Leave it to Beaver holds up in its sixth and final season. The opening theme song has been "jazzed up" and seems to reflect the focus more on big brother and teenage heart throb, Wally Cleaver (Tony Dow). Actually, it's no wonder the powers-that-be on the sitcom took this route, since TV shows in the early sixties had no shortage of teen idols, from Ozzie and Harriet's Ricky and David Nelson, to Donna Reed's Shelley Fabares. In fact, we see more of Wally's steady girlfriend, Julie Foster this season, played by former Mousketeer Cheryl Holdrige. We also see new friends for Beaver, including Animal House's Tim Mathison (Tim "Mathieson" here, in his kid actor days). All the rest of the gang is here: Eddie, Lumpy, June and Ward. If you loved Beaver's earlier episodes, you can't help but appreciate the boys "grown up" in these last installments of an American family classic!

Leave it to Beaver Season 6 Review
I'm a huge hardcore fan of the Beaver series and this last final season was a special treat as you are watching the Cleavers older. Beaver and Wally are in their teens and make some more foolish adult mistakes and then some. This is the final season and plays very well to an end of a classic franchise. All episodes are fun and nostalgic. Love them all. Highly recommended if you are a fan of of the Leave it to Beaver series. A+++

The Beav
How can you not love Leave it to Beaver! It seems in the latter seasons that Wally is funnier than Beaver is. Good family entertainment which is hard to find these days.

Blast of the past with Beaver!
It's great to watch the shows of the past. Leave it to Beaver was from the standpoint of the child. It was a simpler time and I enjoy this so very much.
