Slight glitch with mine, others may vary.
I would need to check yet, the last episode from one disc is repeated in the first episode of the next disc, the only difference is the titles. After I finish watching the complete first season, I will report any other, if any issues. Everything else is fabulous with great audio and video. I am tempted to purchase the full 20 years but, I can't justify the cost of $800.00 or more. More than likely, I will purchase one season at a time or just keep watching these over and over until I have them memorized.

Brings back good memories
The first 6 seasons are not available on my streaming service and I can't get ME TV on my antenna, so these DVD's are perfect. I love the old commercials, too.

Best of the original TV westerns
As children we were allowed to stay up and watch this program weekly. It contained good moral values, respect for authority and law. Matt Dylan was firm and righteous for his responsibilities as a lawman. Back in those days use of GUNS were a necessary restraint in society. Now we have our more modern police force. "Gunsmoke" was a great show that depicted how law and order were needed back then, and even still today . These older shows can never be replaced by the looseness of moral values depicted in 99% of the movies shown on TV today.

GUNSMOKE MEMORIES
I watched these old half hour episodes as a child. I loved them then and still do. These have been wonderful. The picture is clear and the sound is excellent. I also like the fact that information about each episode is printed inside box, telling the story plot and original air date. Brings back such happy memories!

Thank you! Discs appear to be in"decent" condition...a fair amount of finger smudges and some light scratches on some discs. Wouldn't go as far as to say they're in "like new" condition. But all in all a good bargain! Will take my glass lens-cleaning cloth to them. May God bless you!

Childhood Memories Come Alive!
I was young about 9 when television started to broadcast. It wasn't "cop" shows then, it was westerns! I remember laying on the living room floor with my friends on saturday night tio watch "Gunsmoke." It still is a great show. With little "effects," it seems tame compared to the CGI of today's films. On the other hand, we still see 6 shooters that fire 18 times in modern fims. But "Gunsmoke" made you believe with strong writing and believeable characters.

Best Western Ever!!!
I watched this Gunsmoke with my late Dad when I was a child. This brings back great memories of a more simple time in my life when everything was so much better! Love this Gunsmoke!

Great entertainment.
If you watch Gunsmoke, then having the old b&w half hour stories is a must to view. You see the actors develop their character from the beginning, from Matt, to Chester, to Kitty & Doc. Seasons 1, 2, & 3 are a must have.

Purchased seasons 1.2.3. My favorite Western of all time! The quality is excellent. Enjoying so much. Will be ordering more seasons of Gunsmoke.

All time great TV series.
I love getting away to another decade. Gunsmoke takes you there. DVD's are in great shape.
