Tales of the City for a contemporary audience.
The series Looking was an ambitious attempt at creating a gay narrative in San Francisco in the present as a kind of contemporary Tales of the City or Sex and the City with a likeable cast of characters. The 3 friends have loves, adventures and challenges of all sorts for men in their 30s. It last 2 seasons, and didn't take off.

I loved this show!
I loved this show. I'm so sad that HBO cancelled it. At least HBO allowed them to wrap things up with a movie, which is included in the set and is worth every penny in and of itself. I highly recommend this show. Clear your schedule though, because you will become deeply invested and emotionally wrapped up in these characters for at least a week. You will have no choice but to binge watch.

Looking complete series
I loved this series and should have never been cancelled! Great acting, great sets, just an all around great series. The included movie wrapped up the characters lives leaving me wanting more but it was the end. Great value for the money! Will watch it again and again. In my permanent collection.

Tales of the City: The Next Generation
This is about younger gay men in San Francisco in the 2010s as the once flourishing gay community that began in the 60s is now fading away...some good acting by well known stars, similar to TOTC, but the charm of 70s San Francisco is glaringly gone... Good story lines, lots of “Bears” and “Daddies” and eye candy; and the writers get the point across. Worth seeing.

Great series
I was so disappointed when this series was cancelled. I loved the characters and I love San Francisco where it takes place. This DVD set has both seasons, and the movie finale. It is a good deal.

Looking never disappoints!
One of the best LGBTQ series ever that will keep you engaged with the characters. Great acting from a 5 star cast. This will leave you wanting more. I wish it had continued. I highly recommend.

Great series
I love this show, too bad it wasn't renewed. Better than Queer As Folk. This feels like events happen naturally and aren't presented for their shock value like they were in QAF. Great story of a group of friends, their lives and quest for love.

Good honest story about gay life
I liked the story. I liked most of the characters. The relationships were good. A good all around true depiction of the gay life style. There was no sex scenes that offend a straight person. I liked it. I like happy endings.

Great series. It's unfortunate they made 2 season.
Great movie. I purchased the both seasons. I did this because after watching highlights on YouTube . 34 minutes caused me to be intrigued. The first 15 minutes of season 1-2 highlights, caused me to engage in to the characters .

What a wonderful show!
I'm sad that this show if off the air, too bad not many people were there to watch it and to give it support. I guess everyone is watching "reality" TV..I fell on love with the show and the characters!
