"Good Morning, Mr. Phelps..."
Mission: Impossible's sophomore season introduces Peter Graves as team leader Jim Phelps, replacing Steven Hill as Dan Briggs. Because of the way the show was intentionally conceived, with next to no backstory or character development for the principal cast, the transition from one leader to the next is especially seamless. Any existing, un-shot scripts would simply need the character's name replaced. Despite this dynamic, Barbara Bain and then-husband Martin Landau do manage to inject enough flirtatious banter between their characters--Cinnamon Carter and Rollin Hand--to suggest a deeper relationship outside the Impossible Missions Force. In many respects, Graves would become the face of Mission: Impossible, playing Jim Phelps for the remainder of the original series and then reprising the role for the 1988-90 reboot series. Taken as a whole, Mission: Impossible is an iconic artifact of its time and a tightly crafted caper thriller.

Great package of the old series!

Interesting Stories
this is good entertainment. It is interesting how they solved the problems they faced. It is also free of sexual situations and foul language, Good family entertainment.

Mission Impossible...the ORIGINAL! YES!
Simple plot line with an always great ending! No fancy film gadgets or green screens. The actors did their jobs and did it well. Always looked forward to watching Peter Graves and his tape self-destroying tape recorder. Awesome series.
