Product Information

Patrick Swayze stars in this modern-day Western as a tough guy who has poetic instincts and drives a Mercedes. Fresh from earning his doctorate in Eastern Philosophy from New York University, mettlesome loner Dalton (Swayze) finds work as a bouncer at an anarchic road house. Within weeks, Dalton has rid the bar of the ruffians ruining its business and has even struck up a romance with a sexy doctor (Kelly Lynch). Then Dalton bounces the wrong man, who turns out to be one of town crime boss Brad Wesley's henchmen. Wesley first tries to buy Dalton off, but fails. When Wesley learns of Dalton's new lover -- who used to be Wesley's significant other -- Wesley vows bloody vengeance. But Dalton, with his unique mixture of brute force and Zen oneness, isn't about to let his college money go to waste.

    "Road House" Delivers Where it Counts!

    In an age where films are high on special effects (CGI) and short on acting, "Road House" takes us back to a time when the latter was still king. With an impressive on-screen physical performance, supported by a great cast including Sam Elliot and Ben Gazzara, Swayze once again packs a punch in this film. Blending a tough guy, street-smart persona with a contemplative, sensitive side (think "Dirty Dancing"), Swayze is at his best here as a professional, coolheaded bouncer, reminding us of why we liked him so much in the first place. "Road House" is a fast-paced film with an engaging dialogue and lots of good ol' fashion action to keep you on the edge of your seat.     Best Version of Road House DVD on eBay

    So, there are several versions of the Road House DVD of this movie available on eBay, but this is my favorite. There is a lot in the special features, including the Director’s cut. A fan commentary. A Trivia Track. Anyway, I’m very happy with the purchase.

    Title really fit the movie and the bar's.

    The movie is very entertaining and the characters/actors are perfect for the parts they played. This was the second time I viewed the movie and it only got better.
