BIG RIP OFF
It said it would fit all RV tanks......moral of the story is scroll WAAAY down and read the fine print. There it said it was for 20# tanks.....yet in the same line it said it would fit all RV tanks. We have a larger tank. Furthermore, it did not work at all. It claimed in order to activate, pour hot water on it (I am from Virginia where lots of folks have tapes like this because of our harsh winters and none of us ever heard of having to pour hot water on it to activate!!!!!) Good item
I have used many of these gauges over the years. Sure, it is unnecessary folded and is hard to lay flat on the tank, but, if you take appropriate steps to flatten it out, it works just great. It is certainly better than the expensive dial gauge they are currently selling because it is much easier to get a pretty good idea of how much gas is remaining in the tank using this simple removable tape. Anyway, a propane tank is not fully flat...there are ridges and other welded seams. My recommendation: Try it, I think you will be surprised! Very good product
This tape works well - PROVIDED you work within its limitations. You have to use VERY hot (I use boiling) water, and you have to make sure it is stuck well onto the tank. It will not be a perfect fit, but it will work if you take the time to straighten the tape, and press it on well. No more running out of propane during the BBQ!
This is exactly what I needed to KNOW that I have enough propane when I start a grilling session. It arrived fast in the mail, and once it arrived I laid it out in the sun to take out the folds so it would adhere flatly to the tank. A useless gimmick.
I looked online for a way to tell when my propane was full or empty. They said pour boiling water down the side of the tank and you could see where it was hot or cold and the cold place where the propane started. I saw this item and thought why bother with all the hot water when I got it I realize you still had to use the hot water plus the way it was package all rolled up you had to spend time straightening it out before you can use it.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
