Genuine OEM part but icemaker is not reliable
This is a true OEM part but it will only last 1-3 years. This is my THIRD one. All were genuine Samsung icemakers, and they all have failed due to internal freezing. The issue is intermittent: sometimes it will work for a full week flawlessly then other times it will stop making ice due to freeze up of the linkage or other internals. You have to sit there with a blow dryer to get it working again. I've tried everything: leveling the fridge, manually clearing all linkage of ice clogs, disassembling to clean, etc. My recommendation is just buy a better refrigerator or a stand alone icemaker (they're pricey though). With the money I've spent replacing ice makers over the last 5 years, I could've had a good down payment on a brand new fridge lol. After this third unit breaks, a new fridge will be on the way. Come on Samsung. It's an icemaker for crying out loud. You can manufacturer incredible smart phones, TVs, and computer monitors packed with technology but can't get an icemaker right?!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Worked perfectly, easy to install.

Sub par Samsung icemakers.
Got another Sansung icemaker, Third one in 8 years. Seams like they could improve the design. Ice makers from Whirpool seem to last much better. Some aftermarket supplier should offer improved life design. I would pay more money for one like that.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
