Great Product, Works Amazing When Used Correctly
General Cure is pretty much a staple in the fish community. i personally think everyone should have some of this stuff on hand, the way i look at all the products i use and not just the API General Cure is it's better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. i personally will not go without it. in my area i am 100 miles away from and pet store other than walmart, nothing against walmart but i dont and will not buy my fish stuff there period, alot of the food they carry has "fish meal" and thats just not good at al! i wont go there in this review (grr) lol treat your fish like u would treat your dog or your brother for instance if there sick make sure they get the right medication they need as quickly as possible and make sure the perticular fish you own the foods meet there specific dietary needs.

My fish (cichilds) had suncken belly's and done treatment with other things and they look better within a week...
Garlic guard,top full. Epsom salt, General cure 1 Packet

Worked well
I had three angelfish that refused to eat and sulked in the corner so I'm pretty sure they had internal parasites. After three treatments spaced over 48 hours and raising the temperature to 90 degrees F, they are improving after a week. Now they are eating!

It works.
Worked well. Had to treat the tank longer than instructions stated. Did the first course including water change and fish still showed symptoms of parasites so I ran another full course and most of my fish made it.

Never Use this with Goldfish or Shebunkins!
I purchased this because I thought it would help my fish. Instead, it promply Killed my Shebunkins and Goldfish! The first fish died within 12 hours of adding it to my tank and several more died within the first two day treatment. Obviously, I discontinued using it. Never again will I purchase this product!

It definitely works!
At first I was concerned about leaving the aquarium running without the filter cartriges, but I did follow the instructions and my fish are fine. I had one molly with fungus, so I decided to treat the entire tank just to be safe. My molly is doing better and fungus free and all my fish are doing pretty well, therefore, I am happy with the product!

Works well for Malawi bloat. Treat tank and make medicated food for best results
Works well to eliminate bloat in African Cichlids (mbuna) used IFG's recipe for medicated food using 2mm Northfin Cichlid pellets in concert with treating the tank as well. Bloat stopped. Just search youtube for IFG's medicated food recipe video "How To Make Medicated Fish Food To Treat Internal Parasites"

Did not work for me on my fish.
Did not work for me. My fish ended up dying. To be fair. I used it in my cold water tank where I had three small tiger trout.

My "Go to" for fish meds
API General Cure has always been a good medication for my fish. They do get a little stressed, but really, in the long run, I find it's worth the risk.
