First rate T.V. Series
Well acted, produced and directed crime stories. With an easy to follow story but with the typical P.D. James twist.

Brilliant and very watchable
This brilliant series is still totally watchable. A must buy if you like old detective series. They don't make them like this anymore. The slower pace makes for a very enthralling watch.

Still worth a watch
a very much slower pace than today's detective series, but the stories and acting are still worth watching. It is nice to be able to watch as a family without embarrassment of lots of swearing, sex scenes and gore!

Quiet authority
The senior policeman played by Marsden exudes a king of gentlemanly power that is very attractive. He never raises his voice to achieve obedience. The stories themselves are a little fantastic but nevertheless absorbing. A worthwhile purchase.
