Firefly
Firefly revolutionized the sci Fi genre for this generation, it changed the way we view science fiction. Dialogue, plot and filmography set a new standard, and character development have scarcely been captured the way it has here. Ideas and innovation used in the making of Firefly have been recreated for almost every sci Fi movie since 2005, the new Star trek launch, new star wars films and countless more have used Firefly and serenity as inspiration. wonderfull stories, characters, dialog and everything else
I came upon the Firefly series by chance 7 or so years ago and liked it a lot right from the start. Funny, real, gritty, great character development and dialog. The Scifi special effects part of it is really just a very cool backdrop for the stories and characters. I Love this show... maybe the finest sci-fi series I have seen. Firefly, why it's a classic not to be missed
The characters are so developed and easy to identify with, and along with the offbeat sense of humor it is engrossing as it is entertaining. The slightly western framed space saga adds a distinctive touch and the casting is near perfect. There is good continuity from episode one to the last episode and if there is any fault to be spoken of it would be that there wasn't 140 more episodes. Old west meets Star Trek - great series
This tv series is old west meets Star trek. The story revolves around a small crew on a small cargo ship making its way around the edge of the universe where settlers have made homes on rustic moons or planets. Not all transportation activities are above board (smuggling) and they keep trying to avoid any entanglement with Alliance authorities. New and improved format much improved

A true space western, set at the outer edge of human colonization, under the domination of an oppressive central government.

Awesome series

Best TV show!!
Great cast, great writing, just a superior sci-fi show! I found it to be a much more realistic portrayal of space than a number of other shows. No weird monsters or aliens, either, so if you don't like those things in your sci-fi then this is the show for you! Sadly, when it originally came out, very few knew about it so there wasn't a lot of viewership & the show was cancelled. I didn't find out about it until after it was cancelled, too. Such a shame!
