Sheriff Preston Biggs (Kevin Sorbo, HERCULES) has been spending every waking moment drowning his sorrows in whiskey after he accidentally shot his wife in a hostage situation two years ago. His life once again sees a woman's touch--fourfold--when he is tasked with transporting three mail order brides diagnosed with "prairie fever" (mental instability) to Carson City's train station. Overhearing the cries of some of the brides, no-nonsense con-woman Olivia crashes in on the traveling party, only to develop a maternal attachment to Abigail, the youngest of the girls, and a surprising bond with Biggs.
