Bulova Self Winding 96A242
I have been wearing Bulova watches ever since my grandparents gave me one in 1962 as a combination high school/going away present (I was heading into the Navy), I was looking at watches on eBay, and came across this one. I read the reviews, and then googled it to search for more reviews, which led me to YouTube reviews, and they were all (mostly) positive. A few people mentioned that the strap was a bit long, and I agree, and I have rather large wrist. Other than that, I have NO complaints whatsoever. It doesn't have a calendar which I don't ,miss. I have never used a winder for self winding watches, so, before I go to bed, I wind the stem (crown) about 20 to 20 times, and in the morning, the time is perfect. Great vintage style watch without the vintage compromises

Impressive style for the price
I have to say that it is a pretty stylish watch for under $110. Although the strap was way too big for my wrist, that didn't bother me, because changing out straps is sometimes the first thing I do with a new watch. I found one that fits, and looks good. Beautiful Bulova Classic watch

Best looking watch for the money
This watch looks better in real life than in the photos. I was after this watch for a long time and unfortunately I could not buy it locally in the UK and was resorted to buy it from abroad. I was worried that it wouldn't arrive and get lost in transit but I needn't worry as it arrived safely. The only thing I would say is that I wish they packaged better with a bit more bubble wrap. The watch is most elegant I have in my collection for the money, I would say that it even better in looks than some of most expensive brands. Beautiful deep blue Bulova dial

Nice-looking but . . .
Really nice looking watch. Low profile, understated. Exactly the right shade of blue on the face. BUT: I did not realize that "self-winding" means you have to wear it regularly or it stops keeping the time. This is my work watch and I wear it about every other day, but that's not enough movement to keep it wound, so I have to re-set the time every time I wear it.
