Added protection over a normal surge protector.
We have been using a normal surge protector on our camper and it does a great as far as electrical surges and verifying that there are no issues with the power hookup. The EMS goes far beyond that. I feel much more comfortable with the added protection this provides. I never thought of the damage that low voltage can do and this also detects that. Works great
