Great Author
I recommend this author to anyone who wants to read historical fiction that is not dry. His description of places and the characters he blends into the stories make it fun to learn about history. This is at least the fifth book of his that I've read, and I plan to read all of them.

Read Sarum, by John Rutherfurd is very inspiring.
Wonderful book. ..very long, and no speed reading allowed. If you like historical fiction this is a book for you. Rutherfurd is an amazing author. Excuse me, I have to get back to my book.

Sarum is the early start of London. Must read it first.
Rutherford is a great historian! Very detailed and creates generations of people, their lives in those times. Excellent glowing reading.

I love traveling in this part of England and found this novel to be a compelling story of the peoples who have populated the area over the centuries.
