In the span of five violent hours on August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina destroyed major Gulf Coast cities and flattened 150 miles of coastline.     In The Midst Of A Monster

    Living in New Orleans at the time of Katrina, and having evacuated, I have always been interested in how my fellow New Orleanians delt with the storm. I know, unless you went through it, you can't explain it. This book takes you through all the days, before and after, in such detail and description, I feel as though I can experience, somewhat, what it felt like. He really researched and interviewed so thoroughly. An easy read, I didn't want to put it down.
