Singer 44s works great for heavy material.
My wife has an old sewing machine that I already knew wouldn't handle the tarps, sailcovers, dodger, bimini and othe projects for the sailboat. This machine goes through the outdoor fabric with ease. I did need to study up on sewing since my last time was 25 years ago. The machine I bought from these folks is like new, barely used. I am pleased as can be with the value I received!

Excellent purchase
Still in the box new. I have had many machines, trust me-if you sew a lot, skip the fancy and get a heavy duty. I tried all the stitches and made a buttonhole, perfect. This one sits still on my sewing table, unlike my light weight quilting machine. Easiest auto threader of any I have had. Great features. Happy!

Time for new sew machine
I’ve had mine for over 22 years which it’s time for new one. Wanted to get better kind; including heavy duty types of fabric. After I started to use it; I absolutely am in ❤️ with it and been making maskes. And will explore more with other stuff... Here are pic, as you will see cloth which I just started for the first time to test.

Singer heavy duty sewing machine
Best money I have ever spent! sewed through 5 layers of outdoor canvas! small learning curve! But so far it has sewn everything I throw at it? my other machines, would not take that thickness( plus I used heavy outdoor thread! Yes I would highly recommend this machine. Large price gapes, so shop around👌

Worth the money.
It is a Heavy Duty Machine. However you can not use heavy duty thread. Wish the work light were brighter. The manual you down load from the web site has a few things to be desired. Those are the only 3 things I feel is lacking. A 4 stars is what I give but really 4 1/2 in my estimation. Good value . Sews smooth with a very nice stitch. I would buy it knowing it's short comings.

Heavy duty indeed!
Not only did this ship quickly but it was packed very well. This machine can sew through just about anything! I had four layers of upholstery fabric flying through it like a hot knife through butter! Not a fancy machine, which is fine with me because it did exactly what I wanted it to do.

all in all im pleased with the machine.
i have found the machine to be a little difficult to figure out the needle position and the different stitches. i have sent for a manual. it should come with one. the machine sews very nice. i like the looks of it and it is light to carry. quiet and easy to thread. i think i prefer to have a computerized machine.

A tank of a machine!
Solid well built machine. Very easy to use. This is a basic machine with a heavy duty frame and motor. Yet it runs very quiet and smoothly.

Great easy-to-use machine!
I own a Pfaff and I bought this machine for my daughter so we can both make masks. This sewing machine works beautifully and is easy to use—a very good value. Also, it shipped the day after I ordered it and arrived earlier than expected—within 3 days.
