Excellent second season!
The 2nd Season of the TV series "Noah's Arc" was an outstanding sequel to the debut 1st season of the series. You learn through the commentary on the DVDs that the filming of the 2nd season moved to Vancouver, Canada (instead of southern California), and writer/creator Patrick-Ian Polk did not direct all of the episodes but had guest directors instead. But these changes did not appear to compromise the quality of the series at all. At its core (and I am certainly not the first to say this), "Noah's Arc" is structured as a "Sex in the City" episodic comedy featuring men instead of women -- who happen to be Black and gay. Early on -- unless you are a complete racist -- you sort of forget their blackness....... but you never forget their gayness! That is the core of the series, and is at the heart of most of the humor and poignancy. The 2nd Season introduces many more minor and re-occurring characters (all of whom perform well), while also more deeply fleshing out the personalities of the 5 leading characters. I would say watching the series is an enjoyable, addicting, and deeply satisfying entertainment experience.
My only 2 complaints: too bad there weren't more than 8 episodes in the second season. And it is criminal that Logo-TV cancelled the series after 2 seasons and AFTER the final episode aired. Even the subsequent movie wasn't a fully satisfying way to conclude a much-too-brief series.
