I was able to use them to install a mainspring in a vintage (1890's) pocket watch movement. It was a bit tricky at first, but got the job done. Much better than trying to do it by hand. To me, for my hobby interests, it is a much better value than a professional set of winders that may cost 10+ times as much.

Came with written instructions but I still needed to pull up a YouTube tutorial to make it work. Don’t waste your money on cheap bergeon clone mainspring winders from China. These 3D printed are around same price or cheaper. They’re also sized in mm not by movement number and they’re left and right hand wind the clones are not.

The arbour pins are weak and stripped in the holes almost instantly, so be prepared to drill new holes and add new arbour pins. Absolutely no good for older pocket watch mainsprings

The product is exactly as described, the 3D printed vial holders look well made and are clearly labeled. This is an excellent value for someone who is just dabbling in watchmaking.
