Great band, great songs, poorly recorded.
GVF’s new album is highly compressed meaning it does not have the dynamic range of a good vinyl album. The band are very ‘punchy’ sounding in concert, but the way the sound has been processed, this just does not come through. I have also had to return two copies , and am putting up with the final one, as they have all got tiny faults in the vinyl, like craters, caused by air bubbles inside the vinyl as it cools.
