When George (John Ralston), the father of three, and Nora (Joy Tanner), a mother of two, decide to get married and meld their broods into one, their eldest children, Derek (Michael Seater) and Casey (Ashley Leggat), find a new goal in life: to make each other's lives miserable. More so than their younger step-siblings, the high schoolers have difficulty adjusting to their new lifestyle, and promptly go to battle both at home--over bedroom assignments and control of the remote--and at school, where hilarious pranks and snarky nicknames are fair game.
