I should have looked more carefully as I thought these were the big boxes. In hindsight, if I'd been paying attention I would have known because the price was too low to be the larger boxes. As long as they light I'm good.

I love strike anywhere matches. Just like the old days. Since I am disabled, I have to rely on others to get my groceries. And they forget sometimes, even with a list. So, it’s nice to find what I like at a nice price, especially with today’s shipping!

little packs
Well the Only place they strike to light is on the dang box them came from. I tried to strike a few on cement and a table ,the matches just broke because they are so small , tooth pick dia. Or less. I would not trust them to light on anything but the little match pack they came in.. I would not get again, they are nothing like the diamond tip matches I used long ago....

These boys like it rough!
These things need something a little harsher than the striker on the box. The striker WILL work but not well. I use matches in my welding shop daily and as you can imagine, I have a lot of metal spatter get thrown around. The matches ignite EXCELLENT on that spatter. It's incredible. I barely rub these things on it and they ignite. Have tried it on a coarse stone with success. Stuck a sheet 100 grit on my basement shop wall, that works well too. Lit one off of my computer graphics card. Works well with rusty steel under a 72 bug. UPDATE: These things light on anything that ins't slick like a sheet of glass. Window sill, desk, book shelf, air ducting, fine concrete floor, vinyl siding. You just have to put your finger tip closer to the tip so the tip doesn't break off (you won't burn ... Make sure you press good and firm too. UPDATE 2: second order came in, these ones are different. First order had dotted strikers and uneven wood/coating matches that still worked well. These ones have solid strikers and all the matches are even. These new ones work the best so far and they WILL ignite on darn near anything.

They work, But they’re pretty fragile. I still think they’re cool because finding strike anywhere matches out here in California is impossible. I bought the other product called UCO. The UCO are made in Canada, and I have to humbly admit as an American, that they are a better product by a fair margin. Both of them are still small and pinner, Neither of them are like what we did in the old days like the Ohio blue tips. But still, if I couldn’t find anything else, I would buy these again. The humble strike almost anywhere match.
For some reason matches are hard to find in the stores these days, even more so the strike anywhere types, but there are times when only a match will do. More reliable than a gas lighter, quicker than rubbing two pieces of wood together, albeit less entertaining, and much less toxic than the glass matches you crush in your teeth. These are strike almost anywhere matches, and seem to work well when struck on the box or a rough dry stone surface. The box is not water proof, neither is it intended to be. You can seal the box in a plastic bag to keep dry if needed. A handy tip, cut a milkshake straw to size, place a few matches inside and seal crimp the ends. Now you have a handy match in a waterproof container you can carry in your wallet, you never know when you need a fire, but make ... Sorry excuse for a match
I could only get them to strike on a finger nail file, strike fine on box, do not purchase these if you think they are old school strike on box. These are itty bitty matches that break easy.
