Looking for answers, you begin a journey into the great unknown -- a test of survival in an inhospitable environment. Based on the acclaimed post-apocalyptic role-playing series from former publisher Interplay, Fallout 3 features a wide-open world viewed from a choice of first- or third-person perspectives.<br><br>Developed by the team behind the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and featuring the same graphics engine, Fallout 3 has you embarking on an assortment of quests while exploring, scavenging, and battling for your continued existence. Scrap-metal cities and rusted shantytowns are sources of human contact, but in between them lurk a number of hostile threats. The real-time combat is modeled after shooting games, albeit with the option to pause time for more precise shots using V.A.T.S. (the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System). V.A.T.S. lets you pinpoint vulnerability areas with the help of percentage markers displayed on each body part. The higher the percentage, the likelier you are to hit the highlighted area. <br><br>Aiming at a particular body part can cripple it, affecting the enemy's ability to use an arm or leg in combat, while critical hits result in graphic displays of dismemberment. Defeating enemies earns you experience points to enhance your character's stats and acquire abilities called "perks," or specific talents in a chosen area of expertise. Fallout 3 also features some camaraderie in the form of a loyal canine named Dogmeat and a non-player character of your choosing. A licensed soundtrack with songs from the '40s and '50s helps set the mood, offering such hits as "Way Back Home," "Anything Goes," "Butcher Pete," and "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire."

    I had originally ordered this on the 17th, but it got here extremely fast and ended up getting here on the 19th! I thought it would be longer. So great shipping, first off. Additionally, it was packaged very well and had multiple layers of paper and bubblewrap. It came exactly as shown in the imagine and is a good price for something from 2016, especially when it is related to FNAF. My only small nitpick is that I have a hard time standing it up, but I think that’s on Funko’s end.

    Great- but, grab the Game of the Year Edition if you can

    This is probably the best bang for your buck as far as modern Fallout games go. However, you will be missing a ton of added content if you don't go for the game of the ear or complete editions of the game- things that make the game much friendlier for new players, and allow for a better experience in a wasteland world that's very scarce on resources. That makes this normal version of the game significantly more challeging to play.

    Fallout 3 for PS3

    I'm usually wary of buying used games but buy them when they are hard to find or a great price. This game was in great condition, it was in it's original case and had the manual included and the disc had no scratches.

    One of my all time favs.

    One of my all time favorite games Fallout 3 when released was one of the most groundbreaking games of its time. Taking what Bethesda had already done (oblivion) and expanded on it exponentially. It is probably my favorite game of all time and I recommend it to anyone who's into RPGs. Shooter fans may be disappointed as the games shooting is somewhat wonky and overshadowed by the VATS feature. To wrap this up just buy it, great game.

    Fun game series

    Well put together...even for a 10 year old game. If you like the Fallout series then definitely worth your time to play this game.

    Good game

    Great game so far. Never played it, always wanted to. Amazing deal felt like I cut the middle man out. Will look into user in future purchases
