Synopsis

Geisler and Turek argue that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable. A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith., To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable. Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide readers through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting read for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.

Book was "nearly new" and "as described" in listing. The advertised price was fair and a good value. Unfortunately, the seller's shipping partner was very slow to get the book packaged and shipped. Shipping took too long, and the tracking info gave no reliable info on shipping date, time in transit or expected delivery. Seller did everything right, but their shipping partner needs improvement. I recommend this seller to other eBay buyers....... just make sure you're okay with the shipping terms.

This 2DVD set is in perfect condition. Cover art and case like new. Both DVDs played with no flaws. Description was listed as “Good”; I would describe it as “Very Good”, basically Like New. Delivery was super fast and packaging was excellent. The DVD case was wrapped well, then put in a cardboard envelope that was sturdy and hard to open (this is NOT a negative!). I have purchased from this company a few times and have always been very satisfied. Prices are great.

A compelling exploration of logic and reasoning to the existence of God
The best book for someone who has questions about Christianity and the existence of God. The authors offer compelling scientific information that relates to the existence of intelligent design in the universe. Using logic, reasoning, and the scientific method they take you through the facts. This book is pointed at logic and reasoning and is meant to show you that God is real. But like anything, it can only bring you 99% of the way to belief, that last 1% is up to the reader. The best book for someone who has questions about Christianity and the existence of God. The authors offer compelling scientific information that relates to the existence of intelligent design in the universe. Using logic, reasoning, and the scientific method they take you through the facts. This book is pointed at logic and reasoning and is meant to show you that God is real. But like anything, it can only bring you 99% of the way to belief, that last 1% is up to the reader.

Written by Christian apologists (giving an answer for the hope that is within them), Frank Turek and Normal Geisler seek to storm the gates of modern academia and challenge the frontier of thought which claims evolutionary process as occurring without interference or initiation by a Diving Being, or Creator. This text seeks to remain rational in its approach to leading others to see how ancient texts can line up with modern facts, even being complimented by some forms of archeology, geology, and astonishing facts contained in the ... This book is a must have for those with skeptical curiosity, scientists, mathematicians, biologists, believers in various forms of evolutionary processes as a sole catalyst for life, apologists, agnostics, Jews, Muslims and Christians. This text seeks to remain rational in its approach to leading others to see how ancient texts can line up with modern facts, even being complimented by some forms of archeology, geology, and astonishing facts contained in the appraisal of our structured universe While the subject matter contains Science/Astronomy/Geology/Biology, and also a good deal of Morality, without much room for debate, the later part of the book is an appeal to look at the truth-claims of the gospel of Jesus, and to see if one can really trust the Bible and the ancient witness of manuscripts written thousands of years ago. This book can bring many scientists to see the precision contained in complex structures of life, (described as 'irreducibly complex"), the unlikely existence of and uniquely placed life on Earth and in the Cosmos, and how many processes of evolutionary change (such as microevolution) do in fact occur even though the term evolution is often 'hijacked' to stretch the facts into evidence for macroevolution (i.e., fish to philosopher). The facts about Earth and outer space listed are simply mind-blowing, with even skeptical readers forced to concede the impossibly low chance of life to have occured and the logical arguements present by Geisler and Turek. If one isn't inclined to read about Christ, then the multi-section book waits until the very end to begin that analysis, with most of the scientific meat and potatoes sandwiched in the first two-thirds of the book. All in all, this is an enjoyable read for all walks of life, probably moreso for Christians. Nonetheless, it will only seek to remain objective (even the authors acknowledging that them, the writers themselves, hold bias like any authors do) as it tackles the issue of life, death, morality, and the beginning of it all.

A seekers of the truth handbook!
Incredible book for atheists or anyone who is ignorant of Christian apologetics. The book is so filled with content that I needed to read it twice. The authors held my interest from cover to cover. That's very hard to do!

This book puts truth on display by asking the most asked questions about truth. Then it answers the truth questions in a fair and compelling manner. It makes such a great case that God exists that to believe otherwise makes one look like they are resistant to the truth of God and are fearful to accept that God exists.

Best apologetics book for college students and science-minded. I have bought dozens of this book and distributed them. One agnostic became a follower in a few days, and converted her boyfriend saying "I didn't want him to go to hell".
