What I didn't expect, however, was that even though I tried using 5 different floppy drives, the error rate was too high for my purposes, so I wound up using an old laptop instead. Although the convenience of it is good, and required no additional drivers, the interface doesn't provide low-level access sometimesrequired for error recovery.
