Great automotive battery charger and very good value.
Battery charging for automotive, marine and small power equipment couldn't get any easier. This product charges, conditions and maintains these types of batteries unless they are beyond salvaging. For vehicles with constantly powered cigarette lighter type power outlets (not universally available) and using the accessory cigarette lighter plug included with this product, it's a simple plug in connection. CTEK sells the plug separately but it's included with this item. The CTEK products have received high praise on Jay Leno's Garage with good reason. I've used it on my 981S Porsche, Honda Accord and RV battery. Battery charging for automotive, marine and small power equipment couldn't get any easier. This product charges, conditions and maintains these types of batteries unless they are beyond salvaging. The best battery recharger you can buy
The newest model of the CTEK is the MXS 5.0 battery charger and is recognized as ideal for all battery types. I found it easy to hook up to my Mercedes battery and follow the directions for a complete recharge. It also allows you to rehab an old battery with a special function. The unit gets warm but not hot, shows recharging progress, and is safe and well worth investing in. The summer really drains a battery with all of the electronics and the AC in constant operation. The BEST Porsche 911 battery maintainer
I've owned and used the PORSCHE brand for at least 15 years until it finally gave out in the intense Palm Springs heat. I did the new research and found that this CTEK brand is exactly the same except this CTEK brand is the most economical Porsche 911 battery maintainer...ever!

CTEK MXS 5.0 used on Mercedes Primary Battery
This product comes with excellent documentation and is easy to use. I use it on my 06 Mercedes E350 to keep the primary battery fully charged. Over the years and when starting the car I would get a message on the dash that read "Low Battery" and after driving it for approx 5 mi the message would go away. The CTEK has helped me solve the issue by recharging the battery every 10 days or so. It's a great product and it won't damage the battery because it will stop charging when the battery is fully charged. It will give indications along the charging process that let you know what is happening per the given documentation.This product comes with excellent documentation and is easy to use.
