    Reissued AMT 63 impala SS.

    Still a nice kit clean crisp casting , its been reissued so many times. I wish they would have used the mold without the tail lights cast in the body Not nearly as nice as having the red plastic lenses as the original kit.. Other than the tail light issue it’s still a nice kit But not the typical AMT choice of axle positioning for stock or lowered options. Could have had a more nostalgic choice of wheel and tire combination, or a nicer updated style of wheel. Very nice to see the original convertible top boot included, that is a plus for us annual kit builders / collectors. A nice decal sheet.is now included another nice update. All in all no big complaints and would buy another. g- man

    Nostalgic kit with loads of possibilities

    It is lovely to see this old favourite back again, this time with many of it's custom parts and accessories included for the first time in many years, although it is a product of it's time it goes together easily and well, the moulding quality is still crisp and the chrome is outstanding. The inclusion of pad printed white band tyres is a nice touch, the decal sheet includes all body emblems and badges and the box art is very nostalgic. I made mine into a convertible by the simple method of cutting the roof off and using the convertible boot which is supplied in the kit, the drive-in diner tray is also one of the items now included with the kit and gave me the idea for the vignette using a couple of modified Fujimi driver figures and a commercially available drive in waitress.     63 impala

    The chassis is 1 piece, no springs, drive shaft, shocks, differential, exhaust is molded into the piece as well as the front suspension and the top will needs to be wet sanded before painting, has small lines in it. I love AMT kits very dissatisfied

    Great 63 Chevy SS model car !!

    Just like the model cars 55 years ago. Very nice I just wish it had fatter tires for the back.

    No mags, molded on exhaust and front and rear suspension.looks to be a big block 409. There are however a lot of extras.
