Product Information

It's the year 1999, and Earth is embroiled in a Global War that is systematically destroying every country involved. However, the year brings great change to Earth in the form of a giant alien spaceship that astronomers have discovered is hurtling towards Earth. It crashes in the South Pacific, on Macross Island, and soon the Global War has stopped and the world's best scientists have devoted themselves to restoring the technologically advanced battlefortress that has fallen to Earth. Ten years later, Project Robotech has been completed, and the SDF-1 is ready for its maiden voyage. Unfortunately, the SDF-1 has attracted a Zentraedi armada who want to claim the ship as their own. So, a war begins with Captain Gloval struggling to defend the ship with the alien technology of the SDF-1 as the men of the Earth's Veritech Fighters, led by Lieutenant Commander Roy Fokker, struggle to keep up with the superior alien firepower. An involving and exciting space opera that has been immensely popular since its release, ROBOTECH is a landmark Animé. This collection includes all 36 episodes of the MACROSS SAGA.

    Great DVD Set of Excellent Show

    I wanted to buy Robotech on DVD because some years back I watched it online in its entirety and liked it. While reading about the newest DVD set I came across many negative reviews that said they removed and added new sound effects and other disturbing information. So I started looking for the DVD set previous to the new remastered set... This Set. The menus are good, the video quality is high, the color is good, and the audio is well done. I really like the cover art on the dvd boxes. The episodes continue to play automatically after you choose one which is dangerous to someone like me because I'm already watching like 2 or 3 episodes at a time!! : ) Good set all around and the price of a used set of these is between 25 and 30 right now so we're talking like less than five dollars ...

    Time warp to my childgood

    I used to ride my bike home from elementary school at break-neck speeds just to watch the intro credits! It’s not as epic as I remember, but I think I missed a few episodes and it was great to watch it all over again... and now my 8 year old is hooked!
