    Typical Manfrotto quality!

    As expected the Manfrotto 680B mono pod is very high quality. I bought this to replace a TargusTG-MP6710. While the Targus is much lighter and far less expensive it doesn't have the near the strength of the Manfrotto. The 680B is very rigid even when fully extended. The locks lock solidly. The mounting plate is reasonably large providing a stable surface for your camera. The 680B has both a 1/4" and a 3/8" mounting screw, the 3/8" cleverly can be pushed down to reveal the 1/4" screw. Nothing to lose! I have no regrets at all buying the Manfrotto!

    Solid monopod with quick release

    Professional monopod is solid, easy to adjust quickly. The swivel head with quick release plate was the bonus that made me choose this item. Quick release helps me change lenses quickly (bought a second plate). The swivel head will help me when I'm shooting video,

    You need one too, know it or not.

    It is not that the product is better than I expected, its that I can't believe I waited so long to buy one. It is absolutely a benefit and easy to use. The only thing missing is a way to attach a foot to the bottom. With a female threaded end an optional 3 legged foot could be added giving more support if needed. I own several Manfrotto tripods and this is a great addition.

    Solid and versatile

    I shoot sports professionally, so I have some very long and heavy lenses that need support, but tripods are too cumbersome. Not only is this monopod heavy duty, the ball head allows me to change from horizontal to vertical in an instant. I can adjust the tension on the ball head to allow easy movement of the camera, or lock it firmly into place. Solid, lightweight, have nothing but praise for this monopod.
