      Helps Extend Life of Dishwasher Racks

      The front right corner of the bottom rack was rusting in one area and one span had already rusted away. I clipped off the rusted ends backing each cut to undamaged coated metal. I filed the metal ends to smooth them and then applied the coating on a warm day so I could leave the rack to cure in warm sunlight. It was not the full 8 hours (about 7) but the vinyl had hardened. I put the vinyl tines over the treated ends and ran the empty dishwasher with detergent at the normal wash setting. The washed repaired ends looked good but only time will tell. My dishwasher runs once per week and is 8 years old. I'm content to make this repair again if I need too as the cost of a replacement rack is prohibitive.

      Saved my upper dishwasher rack

      I purchased this product to repair rusted spots on my upper dishwasher rack after spending $300.00 for a new lower rack because of rusted splines! Wish I'd bought this 2 years ago! There's plenty to repair at least 2 racks. Color is a little lighter shade than the grey rack of my Dacor dishwasher, but it's a lot better than rust! I recommend this product, but be sure to remove enough coating to remove all of the rust. The rust will migrate at least 1/2" from where you see it. A dremel tool works great to clean off the rust.

      Liquid light gray rubber liquid

      READ THIS REVIEWS, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.....Ok, my dishwasher racks where rusted (tips and structure) was attacked by corrosion, multiple places. My racks are black this product is light gray (should be offered in black) anyway that is my problem ;( ....To repair I used an electrical drill with a round metallic mesh brush drill adapter to remove all rust to reach bare metal. Used the included in cap small brush to apply rubber paint on affected structure and tips (for the tips before inserting caps (included in kit) and after at the base of caps to ensure seal). Waited to make review to see if it would old and it does....I'm impressed. Grinding is a shitty job but I think to have a good and long lasting results, this is a must. 1 hour of de-installation (take pictures because it gets ...

      Great Repair Kit

      Many rubber tips, lots of "paint". Repaired all the noticeable rust spots, plus some precautionary "jic" spots on both dishwasher racks, have enough left over to for two or three more dishwashers still in reasonably good condition.

      Works great!

      This product works. I sand the rust and apply 3 coats. It can be messy but overall I am satisfied not having to paid so much for a replacement rack.
