Primary Research and Writing transformed the way I teach first year composition. When students become researchers, they become passionate about research and writing. My students saw research, writing, and critical analysis as relevant and even necessary activities. As a result, my classroom became a community of scholars immersed in examining the world around them, and I haven't looked back since. Candace Nadon, professor at Fort Lewis College Teaching writing via communities and primary research truly enlivens and enriches the first-year classroom. Primary Research and Writing: People, Places, and Spaces is an incredibly useful text for exploring how to gather and write up firsthand data in the twenty-first century. Filled with wide-ranging contemporary examples, the text connects research and writing methods with various local and global communities in a manner that students find helpful and accessible. Matthew Sansbury, professor at Georgia State University Revitalize and recharge your composition or expository writing or history or service-learning class! This approach energized my students, who took off running to investigate a community of their choice using primary sources in the archives and in the world around them. I had the joy of seeing them take ownership of their writing. Amanda C. - s***p (557)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufBrand new and sealed, high quality, great price below retail. Looks great. Packaged well, shipped soon and arrived quickly. Only issue was communications. For the first couple of days after shipping there was no tracking info. When I inquired about this I received what read like a computer generated response strangely asking me for info to identify the product, even though the message I sent was through eBay and for this product. But, then, tracking info appeared after a few days.
- a***a (18714)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufI can't "rate this item" because I'm not planning to read it. I bought the book to donate to the Bo Brown Memorial Gay & Lesbian Collection in the Sterne Library & Archives at the University of Alabama in Birmingham where I'm positive it will make a great addition to the collection . . . BUT . . . I CAN say that the seller did a great job in handling this transaction. Book was carefully packaged & was promptly shipped - - - and was just as described . . . so there's that :-} Thanks!
- o***h (434)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufPerfect new book! Excellent packaging! Free shipping......though slow as molasses. This company utilizes shipping partners and apparently they have a lot of shipping partners and everyone of them had their hands on the package before it got into the hands of USPS who finally shipped the package. Good communication.
