Disney's series melding toys and video games returns with Disney Infinity: Star Wars, in which gamers take control of characters from the iconic fantasy universe. Players once again set collectible plastic figurines on a special Infinity Base in order to play as popular characters, this time helping Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano try to discover who is responsible for creating a new droid army.<br><br>The core game mechanics in Disney Infinity should be familiar to series veterans, as players place one or two figurines on the Infinity Base to enter a particular Play Set and add Power Discs to provide special weapons or powers. However, this version features combat that is designed to be more complex, with full combos and the ability to unleash a special attack before it's fully charged, albeit with diminished results. Some Star Wars characters have the ability to manipulate the Force to push or pull enemies, and characters are also capable of wielding lightsabers and blasters. <br><br>As always, the Toy Box mode lets gamers take characters and themed decorations from any of the various Play Sets and create new worlds or games. Toy Box 3.0 offers a 3D hub where players can try out various genre archetypes and a variety of multiplayer modes. In addition to more than a dozen new characters from the Star Wars universe, the 3.0 Edition also introduces new characters from the world of Marvel comics, classic Disney figures, and characters from the Pixar movie Inside Out.

    Great item for Family Game Night

    These games are geared towards younger players but are still fun even as an adult that primarily plays more mature / difficult video games. There's a large variety of characters, each with unique skills, to play as and many different environments to make the game slightly different during each sitting. If your child is interested in this game and expresses the desire to spend their leisure time with you playing this I highly recommend you do so. Between it being easy for someone that's non-experienced to pick up a controller & play fairly well and the joy they'll feel, it's money well spent for multiple good times together & memories made.

    Much better than infinity 1.0

    My son and I love the toy box. We received several figures and really loved the star wars games as well as the incredible games. Lots of fun for hours.

    Infinity 3.0

    Item works very well. I was hoping what I read was correct and I could use my infinity 2.0 base; and yes it does work with the old base.
