    Postage was quite expensive as E-Bay postage is. Buck postage was not available which made the postal cost very high. The prints were extremely & I mean extremely well packaged & took an hour to unpack. Thank you for that as I was very concerned about damage to the prints. Description was good. Item was exactly as described, although there was some slight confusion as one of the pictures showed figure with accessories, but that is of minor consequence to my needs (although another Buyer might have more issues with it). Value was good, especially for this particular line on Ebay. Seller is a good asset to the Ebay community.

    Doesn’t get better than genki

    The genki books are the best book for learning Japanese that you can find Unless your a college student and are required to get an updated edition, there is NO NEED to buy the latest edition for full price. Simply get the 1st edition from the year 2000. It’s the exact same book except 1/10th the price.

    CHUNKY BOOK WITH GREAT INFO

    The product was recieved a day earlier than estimated which is always a great thing! The book came with the dust cover, but was a little disappointed it did not come with the dark orange small dust cover with information regarding apps, really not necesary for use of the book its just nice look for the book. The pages don't contain any writing and there weren't any damages made during transit which is also a great thing! Overall this book is great, especially for new Japanese learners. Slow to get into the kana allowing the user ample time to learn hiragana and katakana before making the transition from all romaji to all kana.

    A great starting place for Japanses grammar...

    So far, this seems like a really good book for learning Japanese grammar and speaking/reading in general. A great supplement to any curriculum. I'll note what a lot of other reviewers have said: While the book says it's for self-study as well as classroom study, there are many lesson reviews and practice exercises that simply do not translate well to self-study. That's the only real downside I've seen so far. (see photos) That said, I'd really recommend getting this and the workbook as well, as that has extra exercises and is more centered around self-study. Other than that, it is a good starting place right after you have Hiragana and Katakana down and want to move on. Also, it's Elementary level Japanese. So it's more a solid foundation than anything.

    Genki 1 Second Edition

    The book arrived on time and it is plastic sealed. I prefer this older edition because it is the exact book our professor use. I use it for reference and reviews.

    Best book for learning Japanese!

    This book explains everything so well and easily. The only thing is that is has many sections for work in groups and if you plan on self study you'll have to figure out how to do them by yourself. Anyway I love the book so far and I plan on buying Genki 2 as soon as I finish this one.
