Product Information

Based on the Top Cow comic, The Darkness is a mature, Mafioso adventure, set in modern times but steeled by ancient magic. Players take the leading role of mob hit man Jackie Estacado, who acquires supernatural powers known as "The Darkness" as he reaches his 21st birthday. Gameplay involves exploration and combat through interactive, destructible New York City environments. The plotline is balanced on conflicts between Jackie's ambitions and his family's underworld entrenchment, and on the conflicts between Jackie's own human personality and that of his supernatural side. The Darkness was developed by Sweden's Starbreeze Studios, which gained much positive recognition for its 2004 Xbox and PC game, The Chronicles of Riddick.

    Iteam came in a reasonable time and as described. Iteam was re-sealed and in great condition. Packaging was done well making sure the item came safe and secure. There are some white scratches on the bottom front but pictures did show that. For the price was a great buy. Totally recommend this seller.

    The Darkness 2007 classic

    Prior to Darkness 2 (Darkness 2 lacks originality despite cartoon comic-ish graphics) Darkness still has its replay value even for a 2007 title. It is quite sad, compelling, and joyful at times when playing as good old Jackie. The game presents itself better with better gameplay (Powers) and choices (Side quests) unlike Darkness 2. It is still my all time favorite game in 2018 moving forward. (New actors in Darkness 2 don’t match character personality)

    Good but no darkness II

    Still a good game but darkness 2 does the superior job in terms of game play graphics and story telling. For its time the first is still a good precursor though.

    Great game from a great series. Hope to one day get a third in the series and have a conclusion.

    The Darkness is based on the indie comics of the same name but you don't have to read the comics prior to playing this game. This game is its own beast and I guarantee you'll have a blast with it. While it does look like a game from 2007 it still plays great, worldbuilding immerses you and the attention to detail in many things is perfect. The sequel does things a bit better but also loses some of the first game's features and charm too. If you're a fan of FPS games with an interesting story then you'll enjoy The Darkness.

    Good average shooter that requires a bit of strategy.

    It's a average game. Nothing spectacular. But differs from the main stream. Requires strategic planning. Run and gun equals dying alot! Not sure if I'll play it for a second time. I had fun playing it and at the price I got it for... Worth it in my opinion!

    The Darkness: Flat Sucks

    Hello, This game sucks a#$. It looks more like a game from the original Xbox. Boring as hell, I had to drink two Redbulls to keep my a#$ awake. Poor plot,
