Simple, good quality roomstat.
This was to replace another room stat, which was over complicated. The TR300 is easy to read; easy to set; and easy to install with the standard UK backplate. Salus RT300 Digital Room Thermostat
A quality product that cleverly heats to 1 degree above you requested temperature so that your boiler isn't constantly coming back on for every .5 degree drop in room temperature. Works well and is simple to use, this meets my requirements as I already have a digital programmer in the Kitchen for HW & CH times. Highly recommended
Changed from a mains wired old style dial thermostat to this new type. A breeze to fit with only a case of making safe the 240v mains feed. The whole job took 15 minutes and looks so much better. Using it is simplicity itself with the added benefit of constantly displaying the temperature.

Salus RT300 Digital Display LCD Electronic Central Heating Thermostat
This is a fabulous product, I upgraded my old 'dial' thermostat to this super digital one, it works very well, out performing my clapped out one. It was amazingly easy to fit, the old three wire system was a straight forward, but you have to discard the neutral wire, I just taped my up and left it in in the back plate of the new thermostat. I'd recommend the product, you need minimal tools to fit it: one screwdriver and a roll of tape basically. As for use, you simply push the up or down button to select your desired temperature and that's it. It has an automatic frost position and a great blue back-light. Hot stuff!
I replaced a dated analogue thermostat with this unit. It was easy to install, though the instructions from Salus could be a lot more helpful. They don't even tell you how to remove the backplate or the battery compartment cover, but YouTube is great for helpful videos. Once wired up and batteries inserted it registers the current ambient temperature. You can then set a desired temperature for the system to reach. It is much more accurate than the analogue unit, easy to adjust as needed and a bargain at the price from the supplier. Overall, a great improvement & thoroughly recommended. Just one note of caution. It is battery powered, but the wiring connections are at mains voltage. Ideal thermostat

Incorrect temperature displayed
I have tested this thermostat against several digital thermometers I own which all agree to within about 0,5c. However the salus roomstat is reading 2c lower! I was thinking when I installed it 'its not that cold in here' and I was right! I have so far been unable to get satisfactory advice from salus as to IF it can be adjusted. Good Vaue, Easy to Fit
I purchased this because I was was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Honeywell equivalent, which is double the price. I had no trouble fitting the roomstat, as the mounting holes lined up perfectly with the Honeywell bi-metalic strp dial roomstat it was replacing. Works well, bit noisy relay.
Does the job of a basic on/off heating controller well. Good deadband only about 1 deg C. Better than old thermal element one! Personally found the internal (bistable) relay a bit noisy, the PCB it was mounted on acted as a sounding board - so, being an engineer, opened it up and mechanically isolated that relay.
