Hallmark deviates from its usual formula.
"Mystery 101" is not only the title of this three-movie collection, but also the name of the first of the three stories. And it is the only one of the three that that I have watched so far. Most of the Hallmark Mystery Movies follow the same plot of a female amateur sleuth trying to convince the local police department that a crime has been committed, and then being told not to interfere with the police investigation. Mystery 101 differs in that the female college professor's assistance is actually welcomed (by the police, that is; not by the murderer who confesses to her while the police stand by).
