Published in 1843, this is considered one of the most important works of the 19th Century on Wild Pigeon species and also covers numerous domestic breeds which were known in England at the time. Original copies of this book are extremely rare and often sell for hundreds of dollars. This book features insights into such wild pigeon and dove species as the Aromatic Vinago pigeon, Sharp Tailed Vinago, Purple Crowned Turteline, Oceanic Fruit Pigeon, Ring Pigeon, Rock Pigeon, Wood Pigeon, Collared Turtle Doves, Passenger Pigeon, Victoria Crowned Pigeon and others. Lavishly illustrated with beautiful colored vintage plates. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface. Auction said 12-15 days. Better clarity would have prevented lot of frustration
