Great kit!!!! Be prepared to spend some time building it as it is extremely well detailed.
Probably the best 1/48 P-51. Very accurate shape-wise. I haven't seen the new Eduard kit but this one is superior to all the others, including Tamiya's, which had slight shape issues in the nose and the spinner. Do yourself a favor and use glue, even though this is supposed to be a snap-tight kind of kit. Some parts will be difficult to glue, for example the landing flaps, man, I spent a whole night trying to make them look right. The gun barrels are a tad too thick, may need aftermarket replacements to compliment the rest of the kit. Decals are good, very useable, unlike Tamiya's. In short, pricey but very worth it.

A great new kit - impressive!
I am impressed by this kit. A little pricey, but well designed - thoughtful layout of the parts. Looking forward to putting it together!

Not what I expected
Snap tight - end result will be in need of alot of work(filler) . Detail was good from Meng's molds. The build was glueless but needed some in areas. Not a satisfying Meng build for me. My opinion is 5/10

Great Model
Have not started building the Mend P-51D yet. But, the detail is wonderful. I hope to start soon on it, once I clear some models off my bench.

Great grand sons were fighting to work on the model, but great grandpa was the victorand he built it, and enjoyed it himself.
