Best Intro-Moderate Photography book that I have ever read!
This is a great book digital photography. The author is very knowledgeable, humble and explains moderate level concepts in very precise and simplistic ways. I have read through a lot of beginning and intermediate photography books but this is by far the best, especially considering that it is an easy read. You will walk away with a thorough understanding of what is going on and not just a set of specific instructions to follow. I think that the book is well worth the money and there is so much for the beginner/novice and there is a lot for those aspiring to become more. I believe that this book will provide you with a rock solid foundation on which you can go in any direction with confidence. Concepts and applications in HDR, Macro, Underwater, Night Photography, Lanscape, Animals, Portraits, Weddings as well as Lighting/Flash and Common Problem Solving are well covered in a 230 page twin colum book. Of course the basics on controlling your camera (focus, aperture, shutter speed, iso, exposure copensation, metering modes, using raw, golden hour, white balance, etc.) are beautifully covered by someone that fully understands and wants you to understand too. Useful reference tetx with some additonal features
Good reference text - comprehensive and has QR codes on the chapters that will take you to a related YouTube video by the author - nice touch. Great source of information.
This book is a great source of information for new and probably even seasoned DSLR photographers. I my self see my self as a skilled amateur photographer, I am not a professional by any means and I don't make my living from photography. Let me just start by saying the actual book itself is amazing. Very high quality book. The content is laid out in a very organized manner. The videos are top quality and also super informative. You can access the videos directly from the book by scanning a barcode with your phone and it takes you directly to the video online. Great Book!
If you are looking for a book to teach you the ins and outs of your DSLR this may not be for you. Are you looking for a book to teach you how to be a better Photographer? Then you have come to the right place. You will learn about lighting, composition, the rule of thirds, and a ton more! Well done Tony and Chelsea, you hit a home run with this book!
